3/1/06 - Welcome to KORRS version 4.5! We have used feedback from a variety of sources to compile a list of the most requested usability features, and have updated the KORRS site to reflect the changing needs of the K20 video conferencing community. We have preserved the existing look and functionality of the KORRS interface, while adding all of the most often requested features, which we hope will streamline your experience while using the KORRS scheduling system. Below you'll find descriptions of the new features, and tips on using them.

ITV Schedulers

  • ITV schedulers now have the ability to duplicate an event they have created in the past, using it as a template to schedule a new event with the title, participating sites, etc.

To use this feature, you must first log in under ITV Schedulers. Click the "Duplicate Previous Event" link, and you'll be presented with a page which will allow you to select the event you'd like to duplicate. You can choose by either entering the Event Tracking Number or choosing it from a drop-down list (the drop-down lists events up to 6 months old). After you choose the event, you'll be shown the details of the event you selected, if this is the correct event click Continue. You'll then be presented with the Power Scheduler request event page, with all information aside from the date pre-populated using the information from the previous event. You can change details for the new event as required.
  • ITV Schedulers can now save an event that they are in the process of scheduling before submitting it to MCU Scheduling. This is particularly useful if you are creating large or complex conferences and need to step away from your computer before you have time to finish scheduling them. This is also handy if you know you'll be adding sites later, but want to go ahead and start setting up the event before you have a full list.

To use this feature, you must first log in under ITV Schedulers. At any time while scheduling an event using Power Scheduler, you'll find a "Save For Later" link on the right, above the conference details. Simply click this link to add the event to your saved events list. When you're ready to come back and finish scheduling, click the "Saved Events" link under ITV Schedulers to access the stored conference. You can edit or delete saved events from this page.

Note: Conferences are automatically added to your saved events once you complete the General section of scheduling a new conference. This feature ensures that you won't loose your conference setting if your session times out before you finish scheduling.
  • ITV Schedulers can now sort by Event ID, date, or title on the Event Services page.

Resource Information

  • In order to best accommodate the increasing use of IP endpoints, we have added several fields to resource listings. There are now 3 fields used to identify calling numbers for endpoints:

    ISDN number (Previously K20 Number)
    H.323 Extension (E.164)
    IP address

We have imported the K20 Number data from the previous KORRS version into the ISDN Number fields. Please log in and update your resource information under Site Services to make best use of the new details.
  • The email fields for Organization and Resource information have been expanded to 100 characters. This will accommodate longer email addresses, as well as multiple email addresses. Tip: If you want KORRS notifications to go to more than one email address, you can enter as many as you like, separating them with a semi-colon like so: email1@site.edu;email2@site.edu
